Our Roots
We're a family from Sheffield, Canterbury. Two generations deep in this land and way of life, which means we know exactly what a Kiwi farmer needs to get through the day.
First Light
We know what it's like to get up before the sun, feed the animals in the frost, and keep working through wind and rain. We know what it's like to pull on a pair of thin, worn-through socks that just aren't cutting it anymore.
A Little Family Magic + Dogs
Our family sock machine has been part of our lives for years, making tough durable sock, tough enough for the dogs to chew on. They approve, by the way!
Why We Started
When we realised how hard it was to find genuinely good, durable, NZ-made wool socks, we knew we had something worth sharing. So we decided to open up what we'd built for our own family and offer it to yours.
Farm Tough is our way of filling that gap - proper merino socks, made the way we've always made them, for anyone who works hard, gets their hands dirty, and needs gear that keeps up.
